I was driving on the interstate listening to my satellite radio, I think it was on the Classic Vinyl station, and this Queen song came on. I had heard it thousands of times before because they play it on just about every station and its used in alot of movies. It was the song "We are the Champions". I got to listening to it and for some odd reason, instead of singing along, like everyone always does with this particular song, I found myself paying attention to the words. I started thinking back to when I was struggling with my MLM Business. Trying everything, calling everyone, spending and spending and getting nowhere. I can't tell you how many times I wanted to just give up. Then I came across Carbon Copy Pro and things just started working. I followed the steps and they all made sense. Everything started working and the money started rolling in, just like they said it would. I finally got the help I needed. When I was listening to the words it hit me.

I realized that when I watched my beloved New Orleans Saints football team play
the season finally against the Carolina Panthers. I watched them overcome a 30-10 deficit and lose on
a last second field goal. WHAT A GAME ! WHAT A SEASON ! They finished the Season
8 - 8. An injury plagued team played with HEART. They lost alot of games by a few points, but
it didn't matter, they were in ALL the games.
It got me thinking about my Home Business. Believe me, they call it working from home, because
you actually have to work. You think you make the right decision about your marketing plan
and your advertising budget, then you say to yourself, " Maybe I should have done this or Maybe
I should have done that ", but that comes with the territory.
There is no magic button to click and you become successful. Once I had the mindset, I would do
whatever it took to become a success. You never stop failing and succeeding. You just keep
plugging along and stay focused. To me, that's what separates the pretenders from those who
are truely inspired.
In my Home Business, I have a Mentor and a Support System that makes it impossible to fail.

A Business Opportunity Let Me Say Goodbye

It was June 18th 2007, the day I decided to start my Home Business, with hopes of one day, being able to work from home.
There were a few reasons for me wanting to do that. Of course wanting to hang out with my 8 year old daughter, Emma, played a big part. After all, that's who I named my business after.
The other reason was to get out of the car business. Working 70 - 80 hours a week
and all of the traffic was for the birds.
At first, It was the traditional MLM Business, trying to build a downline. I spent time sorting through the pretenders, the cry babies. That wasn't going to fly with me. I was making tiny commissions and having to deal with whiners which was not the ticket.
Along came Jay Kubasek, the most real and down to earth person on the planet.
He built his company through determination and a what if attitude. He had
me at Hello. The company supplied me with all the training and support I
could ever ask for. I Was Truely Inspired.
Guess what happened next ? In my first 2 weeks, I was getting paid. I MEAN PAID!
By the end of my first month I made $ 8,840.00. It grew from there. After 90 days I had made $ 28,375.00.
November 19th,2008 was the day I said goodbye my boss and the car business.

Snow, Snow Everywhere - In New Orleans ?

I woke up this morning, got ready like any other day and I looked outside. It was raining, just as the weatherman had said it was going to be doing. Of course, I live in New Orleans and you know what they say, "If you want to see the weather change, stick around for a minute." Anyway, the news was predicting that we might see some snowfall in certain areas, but it won't be substantial, so when I looked outside this morning and saw the rain, I assumed it was a missed call "again" and I left to go to my friends house to do some work. I was driving along on the interstate, rain beating on my windshield, traffic creeping along as usual, when I got to a certain point, and believe it or not, it was towards the south part of New Orleans, when I started seeing something that resembled a snowflake. As I kept creeping along it started getting heavier and heavier, almost blizzard conditions. I thought to myself," Am I in the right City? Did I take a wrong turn at Albequerque? " I got to my friends house and they were already outside taking pictures and throwing snowballs. You could see the smiles on their faces from down the street, snow tends to do that to people ( as long as they don't have to shovel it or drive in it ). The snow had caused school closings, businesses closing early, bridges closed down, some road closings, traffic accidents, continuous news coverage on every station , you would think we were having a hurricane. The only difference was, when it snows, the news stations continually talk about the snow with the jingle bells in the background, not mentioning one word about the bad things going on in the world today. All of the news reporters spoke with excitement in their voices and smiles on their faces and everyone they were interviewing had the same excitement. While at my friends house, the phone was flooded with friends calling excited about the snow. How ironic that it just happens to be the Holiday Season when most are in a cheerful mood, but because of the current financial struggles in the country today, some are not so cheerful. As I was taking pictures of this very rare snowfall occurring in a city that could use some cheer, I thought to myself, it's amazing how Mother Nature gives us something so beautiful that causes so much happiness and cheer. You don't have to go to a mall to get it, or use a credit card to buy it because it comes to you and IT"S FREE !

An Amazing Gift

I received an amazing gift today. I work pretty hard on my website everyday, it's called 4emmalamb, named for my daughter Emma, who is the main purpose for why I do what I do. Anyway, I always look for pictures of her to post on my page and I came across some pics of her when she was about 4 years old. I showed them to a friend of mine and asked if they would be good to use for my website. I emailed them to my friend and she, in turn, showed them to her mother who created the most wonderful portrait of my beautiful daughter! It was such an incredible likeness , she even matted and framed it for me, that I think my mouth stayed open in awe for at least 10 minutes. It was such a surprise to receive such an amazing gift of someone that means so much to me. I will be posting the picture for all to see. This very talented woman's work will be part of my website if anyone would like a portrait of that special someone or many special someones. I hope I keep doing whatever I did to deserve such a gift!
